Rencontre pour le moins inattendue que celle entre la maison Missoni et le label Pigalle Paris : d’une part le luxe italien alliant maille précieuse et attitude gyspet, d’autre part la jeunesse street et hip-hop issue du célèbre quartier du IXe arrondissement de Paris. Au final, une collaboration construite autour de valeurs communes comme la liberté, la famille et l’amour de l’artisanat. Les créations masculines aux influences nineties et sportswear, une fois habillées des motifs et ornements colorés et raffinés provenant des archives de la maison Missoni, prennent une nouvelle dimension, entre élégance et excentricité détendue.

Award-winning choreographer and dancer Akram Khan presents his latest full-length production, Until the Lions. In this partial adaptation of poet Karthika Naïr’s book Until the Lions: Echoes from the Mahabharata, an original reworking of the epic Mahabharata, Khan uses kathak and contemporary dance to tell the tale of Amba, a princess abducted on her wedding day and stripped of her honour, who invokes the gods to seek revenge.
In an epic theatrical piece, Khan explores the notion and the physical expression of gender, bringing together some of the stellar artistic team behind his solo DESH: writer Karthika Naïr, visual artist Tim Yip, lighting designer Michael Hulls and dramaturg Ruth Little.
The three remarkable dancers, Rianto, Ching-Ying Chien and Joy Alpuerto Ritter, perform alongside four live musicians: singers Sohini Alam and David Azurza, percussionist Yaron Engler and musician Joseph Ashwin.
Ching-Ying Chien is the 2016 National Dance Award winner for ‘Outstanding Female Performance’ (Modern).

Sport collectif opposant deux équipes de cinq joueurs. Dérivé du football classique et basé sur la technique et la vitesse, il est pratiqué dans la rue, le plus souvent en zone urbaine.
Avec Nike Football X, YARD a parcouru les terrains de football franciliens à la recherche des meilleures équipes de street football d’Île-de-France et immortalise la compétition dans un documentaire dont voici le teaser. Au fil des matchs, entre bitume et synthétique, les équipes se sont affrontées les unes après les autres, témoignant au passage de la philosophie d’un jeu technique qui ne pardonne pas.
